Home to over 200 different ethnic groups, Canada’s pro-immigration policies have always encouraged a nation of diverse identities and nationalities (Singer, 2015). Yet, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC), Marc Miller’s most recent announcement about enhanced verification of international applications is set to be a turning point for international enrollment.

Earlier in June I had the pleasure of presenting a session at the annual conference of the National Association of Christian Colleges (NACCAP) in Charleston, South Carolina. If you have yet to visit Charleston, I couldn’t recommend it more. The conference was held at Charleston Southern University, a picturesque campus - worth googling. ‍
